The Archipelago trail shortcut - a refeshing day-tour out sea
During the summer season of Scandinavian Islands from 17.5. to 1.9.2013 the passenger ship m/s Östern connects the islands Nagu/Nauvo – Själö/Seili – Hanka (Rymättylä) with 3 departures daily. The sundecks of m/s Östern offer great photo-possibilities while cruising between islands of the Archipelago Sea. The two canteens onboard offer a light lunch/snack and hot and cold drinks.
The cultural heritage and peaceful surroundings of the Själö island makes it well worth a stopover on the way. Stoll/bike the island in your own pace, or book an archipelago guide well in advance. Själö with its’ beautiful tiny wooden church and graveyard has a very sad story to be told. The biggest building of the island and the former hospital for lepric- and later on for mental illnesses, host an active research centre of archipelago wildlife these days. Please make sure not miss the last departure of the day from Själö.
m/s Östern carries 130 passengers and 17 cars. Buses, caravans, mobile homes, bikes as well as motorbikes, and of course passengers without vehicles are as well most welcome onboard.
The Archipelago Trail Shortcut is operated by Archipelago Lines Ltd.
